Ten public high schools in Northern Luzon were beneficiaries in the iSchools project evaluated by Ifugao State College of Agriculture and Forestry (ISCAF) cluster coordinator, Mr. Stradivary Caro for the past three months.
Out of twenty schools evaluated, the final list of PHS beneficiaries are the following:
Aguinaldo National High School (ANHS) – Aguinaldo, Ifugao
ISCAF Laboratory High School – Potia Campus – Alfonso Lista, Ifugao
Mayoyao National High School (MNHS) – Mayoyao, Ifugao
Alicia National High School (ANHS) – Alicia, Isabela
Caliguian National High School – Main Campus – Burgos, Isabela
Isabela National High School (INHS) – Ilagan, Isabela
Ugad National High School (UNHS) – Echague, Isabela
Mabaay National High School (MNHS) – Bauko, Mt. Province
Kasibu Nationa High School (KNHS) – Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya
Maddela Comprehensive High School (MCHS) – Maddela, Quirino.
“The iSchools project, spearheaded by the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT) aims to incorporate information and communications technology (ICT) in education towards strengthening classroom learning and instruction by expanding access to various sources of information.” Mr. Caro said.
“CICT will release 20 computer units to each high school beneficiary. The units will be installed in their laboratory and offices with Internet connection. The goal of CICT’s iSchools Project is to contribute in integrating ICT in education initiatives of the government to enable our secondary graduates to be globally competitive,” he said.
The Dean of the Institute of Computer Science at ISCAF further explained, “Once these computer units are set up, there will be continuous monitoring and evaluation by the ICT coordinator to ensure full operation and maintenance.”
